American Premiere of Frontier & conversation with Ed Ruscha and Doug Aitken: Presented by Doug Aitken Workshop & KCRW

Presented within the immersive setting of Doug Aitken’s current multi-channel video installation Lightscape, the event will feature a screening of the film at 2PM followed by a live conversation with Doug Aitken and Ed Ruscha.

Originally presented as an outdoor installation in Rome, Frontier features Ed Ruscha as the work’s lone protagonist who increasingly finds his surroundings divorced from reality. A street riot becomes the unexpected climax of his journey before the chaos around him reveals itself to be taking place on the set of a film. Frontier questions the space between artifice and life, presenting a protagonist caught between these two worlds.
