An installation by Kristen Wentrcek & Andrew Zebulon that reflects the material, ornamental, and functional history of the Marciano Art Foundation building, formerly a 1961 Scottish Rite Masonic temple designed by Millard Sheets. Named after the double-headed eagle symbol central to Freemasonry, Quaternion features an ensemble of functional furniture hand-carved from industrial-grade foam and covered in a skin-thick pigmented coating.
Transmissions: Selections from the Marciano Collection brings together fifty-six international artists working across a wide range of mediums who each in their own way generate signals into the ether for us to hear.
In this site-specific mural commissioned by the Marciano Art Foundation, Party creates a fantastical forest that grows as visitors ascend the stairwell floor by floor.
Handsome sets of documents, photographs, and Masonic paraphernalia left at the Temple are presented in the renovated Masonic library.
